One week old!

Posted in Baby Tracker at 9:42 am by Carrie

Rachael is now one week old, and she is doing well!

Mommy & Daddy are little sleep deprived but getting used to it!

Rachael is really pretty good when it comes to sleeping at night. She sleeps about 3 hours & then gets up to eat (usually a 45 min ordeal) but then she will go back down for another 3-4 hours. She seems to have figured out the difference between night & day which is really good for mommy & daddy!

We are all doing really well so far!

We are enjoying lots of time as a family, and we have even gotten out a few times!

Hope you all enjoy the pictures!

We will add more as we can!

Thank you!

Thank you for making sure you came to see us at the hospital!

My side of the story!

Posted in Baby Tracker at 1:55 pm by Carrie

Ok, So here is my verison of the events that brought our precous baby girl in to the world!

After some hesitation on my part Daddy finally convinced me to go out walking on friday night, and yes this got everything going (Thanks Daddy!)! I started having contraction around 6:30pm on Friday evening and by 2:00am they were about 5 minutes apart & we decided to head to the hospital.

After spending about an hour at the hospital they sent us home as I was only 3 cetimeters dialted & who wants to spend more time in the hospital than they have to!

We arrived back home & I moved around a bit, took a bath a tried as best as I could to handle the pain (by the way Daddy was an excellent coach thru all of this).

Finally around 8:30 am the contractions were much stronger & getting closer together, so we made our way back to the hospital. This time we were checked in & I decided to get something for the pain. I was given some medicine that took the edge away from the pain of the contractions for about 45 minutes!

Just as the medicine wore off, it was time to push.

My water still had not broken at this point, but with the first push that was remidied!

Now it was time to get that baby out!

With only coaching from Daddy & the nurse & no epidural Rachel was born with only 21 minutes of pushing time(I was told by the nurse that this gets me bragging rights!)! My Doctor estimated that I would not be at 10 centimeters until around 3 or 4 in the afternoon. To his surprise he was paged to come back not more than 10 minutes after he had been in to check me ( guess he was a bit surprised)!

Rachael was born at 12:21 pm on September 13th!

We have been blessed with a very sweet natured baby….. so far.

Everything has gone extremely well for both of us. Rachael has taken to nursing very well, and my recovery has gone very smoothly!

Can’t wait to bring her home with us!

Keep checking back for more pictures of Rachael! Thanks to everyone for their love and support!

Stats please!

38 1/2 weeks!

Posted in Baby Tracker at 3:23 pm by Carrie

Ok, here is one last picture of my belly!

We will be done any day now!

I am so looking forward to getting back in to regular clothes again!

Being Pregnant has been one of the best things to happen in my life & I definitely wouldn’t trade this for anything. I think I understand what everyone means when they talk about those last few days being long & never ending!

We are still doing really well. I have been very lucky to have a realatively normal pregnancy. Now, if this little girl can just come & join us all will be complete!

The next pictures we post will be when Rachael finally arrives. I think I have had my belly photographed more in the last nine months than I ever imagined possible! Hope you all are enjoying this web site, we sure have fun sharing all of this with everyone important to us!

Still no Baby yet!

Posted in Baby Tracker at 12:47 pm by Carrie

Ok, So we are still waiting for this little girl to arrive! My due date is now about 1 week away. Any guesses on the arrival date of this baby? Please feel free to leave a comment here or email me at crl717@gmail.com!

We saw the doctor yesterday and everything is still going good. I am dilated 1 cm so far, and baby is resting nice & low ( I am sure she loved having the doctor pushing around on her head!)! I Wish we could better predict these things but we really can’t, it’s all up to the baby!

I am ready for this to be over & start the next step with this baby! I miss my old clothes (which by the way all seem brand new to me now!), and I would love to be comfortable for longer than 2 minutes! I know this will all be worth it & forgotten once this baby arrives!
