Today Miss Rachael went on a field trip to the pumpkin patch! This was her very first field trip and with her preschool class (and Mom to!)! What a fun time we had! First we saw baby chicks, cows,roosters and pigs and then she got to pet the goats, her favorite! Rachael thought it was especially funny when the goat tried to eat her sweater as a snack (thanks to Auntie K for knitting that sweater for her)!
Then we were off to an apple cider demonstration and tasting! For a Kid who doesn’t really drink juice she thought this stuff was really yummy, and I would have to agree with her on that one!!
After the yummy drink it was time for a corn maze and a trip down a slide, what would make a 3 year hold any happier? The only thing that made her smile any bigger was finally going to the pumpkins and picking the perfect one, well make that two, since Rachael picked out Mamas pumpkin to!! I really don’t think I could have picked a more perfect one myself! We ended our trip with a delicious pumpkin doughnut!
What fun it was to create such wonderful memories with my little girl today! There is nothing that makes me happier than being with her and seeing that beautiful smile on her face. I think this is what being a Mom is really all about!

Rachael is now 3 years old!! Hard to believe we’ve had her for 3 years already! Today was not just her 3rd Birthday but also her first day of preschool!! Our little girl is so grown up!
Rachael did amazing! She was so excited to go to school that she told us to leave as soon as we got to her school! We kissed her goodbye and left her having lots of fun! What a wonderful morning it was!
Looks like we are ready for this new adventure! What an incredible 3 years it has been. Our lives have been blessed with the love & laughter of such a wonderful little girl! As Ray & I say to each other every year…Rachael Elizabeth is the best gift we have ever given to one another! We love you so much Baby Girl and we couldn’t be prouder to be your Mama & Papa!

This has been a very busy summer for the Laurence family! From a trip to the Oregon Coast to Rachael’s first fishing trip, our first time berry picking and everything in between! We have had so much fun, it’s hard to believe it’s coming to an end.
While on our trip to the Oregon Coast Rachael found out how much fun it is to play in the sand on the beach, and she also discovered that Grandma & Grandpa have “A house at the beach”!! Rachael also got to go on a carousel for the first time in Seaside! She was a little scared at first but in the end she loved it!! In Astoria Rachael had fun “being a movie star” and posing for Ampy to take lots of pictures of her!! What a great trip it was, and thank you to the Grandparents for making it so special for Miss Rachael, and for us!
Rachael also got her first fishing pole and a fishing lesson from Ampy. Rachael loves fishing but isn’t quite sure why you can’t get the fish to bite if you swing the fishing pole back & forth the whole time!! It just doesn’t matter to a two year old how to catch the fish it’s all about having fun while doing it! A lesson maybe we should all remember from time to time!
Our first time berry picking was lots of fun to! We had blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries! We had so many that we still have some in our freezer! Rachael was really good at picking the best berries and was so proud of how many she picked! Another Great family day full of memories!
Rachael also got to meet her Great Uncle Roger & Great Aunt Gretta for the first time this summer! She really loves Aunt Gretta and had lots of fun flirting with Uncle Roger! So happy you were able to come & visit, we all had such a wonderful time with both of you! Hopefully we’ll be able to bring Rachael to Florida to see the rest of the Laurence family very soon!
The summer has been a busy one, but one full of fun and many wonderful memories for all of us! Now summer is almost over, and we are getting ready to start a new journey with our little one! Rachael will be turning 3 years old and she will be going to preschool! We can’t wait to see what the next few months will bring….

We are celebrating our 12th wedding anniversary on Sunday July 17th. What a journey the last twelve years have been. We have shared so much, from laughter to tears but most of all love. We are looking ahead to many more years of happiness together and at the same time reflecting back on the last twelve years we shared.
For the first nine years it was just the two of us. Then 3 years ago came our precious little girl, Rachael. She has given our lives a new purpose and given us so much more than we could have ever imagined was possible. We thank God every day for bringing Rachael in to our lives and we can’t wait to see what the future hold for all of us!
Thank you to all of you that have shared in the last twelve years with us. We would not be where we are today with out each and every one of you. The words on our wedding invitation reflect our life the best : “The miracle of love is that love is given to us to give to one another.”

It has been quite some time since we have updated our blog, I think maybe I better work on that!! We have been pretty busy so far this year. We took our first family vacation, a road trip to Seattle, WA!! Had lots of fun taking Miss Racahel to the museums and she even got to fly a kite with her Daddy!! We also took Rachael to see Sesame Street Live! Rachael loved the show (she actually didn’t move for 2 hours!), and we made some great memories with her!
Rachael is now 2 1/2 years old, and has become an incredible little girl! She is always happy, and her smile can light up any room she is in! She has changed so much in the last few months, but we say she has only gotten even more adorable!! We are amazed by how much she is growing and learning every day!

We had so much fun with Rachael this Halloween. Rachael was dressed as Tinkerbelle thanks to a handmade costume from her “Auntie K”!! We went Trick or Treating with Rachael’s cousins. Rachael almsot couldn’t keep up with her cousins but she wasn’t going to give up and didn’t miss a single door!
We had a great time watching Rachael this year as she really knew what was going on and had lots of fun with the whole holiday!!

Rachael is 22 month now, and we can hardley believe we have had her for almost 2 years!! She is such a happy little girl and very smart to. We are enjoying every moment we have wih her and are consantly amazed at the new things she learns to do.
Rachel recently learned to say “I love you” which melts our hearts every time we hear it! She loves being outside and playing in any water she can find, we call her our “water baby”!! We are all doing very well, and hope you enjoy these new photos of our “Miss Rachal”!

Miss Rachael is now 16 months old, and is on the go! She is walking and almost running these days, and is even starting to talk. She has benn saying “I pretty” lately which is really cute, and also says Mama, Dada, and Hi to name a few of the words she is picking up on! We are all doing really well, and having a lot of fun watching Rachael learn new things every day! Rachael turned one year old on September 13th 2009. The year has gone by so fast and Rachael has changed so much we can hardly believe it! So much has changed in the last year and we are so excited to continue on this journey with Miss Rachael!
We celebrated Rachael’s first birthday with family and friends at a park near our house! Thank you to all of you who shared in the occasion with us! We had so much fun and Miss Rachael loved all of the attention to! We hope you enjoy the photos we have posted here for everyone to enjoy!
Rachael is now 21 lbs and 30 inches long and keeps on growing every day! She is doing very well learning new things every day. We are still waiting for Rachael to start walking, although she still gets where she wants to just fine!
Thanks to everyone who has shared in the last year with us. We will continue to share our journey with Miss Rachael with all of you so keep checking back for more pictures and stories!

Rachael is now 11 months old. The time sure went by really fast. Rachael is doing really well and very curious these days! She loves to stand up and walk along the furniture all the time now! Rachael isn’t quite walking yet, but she is sure trying hard and we are sure it will happen any time now!
Rachael continues to love being in the water, any kind of water…bath, big pool, little pool it doesn’t matter, if it has water she wants to be in it! Thank goodness for her little pool at Grandma and Grandpa davis’s house, she loves to play in it during this hot weather we have had!
We are looking forward to Rachael turning one next month, can’t believe it has already been a year since she joined our lives! We hope you have all enjoyed the past year with Rachael as much as we have! We will continue to share our little princess with all of you so keep checking back for more pictures and fun!
